Nepal is an extremely fascinating destination for travelers, scholars and researchers. When it comes to natural beauty Nepal is one of the most beautiful country in the world. The Kathmandu Valley is mainly known for its rich cultural heritages, ethnic settlements, holiest pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Buddhists. It has the highest density of World Heritage Sites in the world, seven in total (all cultural). You can observe the excellent exquisite carvings in the ancient arts and craft in the monuments and temples of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares. Swayambhunath and Boudhanath are the most important distinctive ancient Buddhist stupas in the country. Pashupatinath is famous among all Hindus in the world. Changu Narayan temple has the oldest inscription. Nagarkot and Dhulikhel are famous for beautiful views of mountains and countryside.

In terms of natural beauty, Pokhara is the most beautiful city in Nepal. It is famous for the great up close panoramic Himalayan views of over 8000 meter mountains. Different lakes, lush green vegetation around the valley, caves, falls and gorge, temples, museums and stupas are the major attractions. It is also starting point of many trekking routes into the Annapurna region.

Lumbini is the birth place of the Lord Gautam Buddha. This area contains 62 archaeological sites that exhibit different events of Buddha’s life. Major attractions are Mayadevi Temple(from 3rd century), Ashoka pillar (249 BC), Lumbini museum, World peace flame, international Buddhisht stupas and monasteries, etc.

Gorkha is a mid-hill town lying between Kathmandu and Pokhara. The legend of Gurkhas and Shah dynasty begins here. Gorkha Palace, Gorakh Nath Temple, Gorkha Kali temple, etc. are the places to visit. Manakamana is a scenic and pilgrim spot reachable by Cable car or half day trek.

Tansen is a large hill town that offers the breathtaking view of Himalayan range from Dhaulagiri in the west to Ganesh Himal in the east. The town is famous for ancient cultures, temples and other places of historical and cultural interest.

Daman (2100m) is a tiny ridge-top village famous for the great panoramic view of 300 miles of Himalayan range : Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar, Choyu, etc.

Muktinath temple(3800m), a famous pilgrimage place for both Hindus and Buddhists. Around it there are 108 waterspouts. Explore the hundreds of years old monastery, caves, local tribes and scenic beauties of the different landscapes.
