The breathtaking mountain panoramas is one of most fascinating part of this trekking. This trek can be completed by anyone with a moderate level of fitness. The trail follows Kaligandaki river which forms the world’s deepest gorge. Explore the hundreds of years old monastery, caves, local tribes and scenic beauties of the different landscapes. Make an adventure starting from world’s deepest gorge Kali Gandaki Region into world’s highest regions passing through an almost tree-less barren landscape, a steep rocky trail up and down hill and panoramic views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and several other peaks.

The starting point of Jomsom Muktinath Trek is Jomsom, capital of Mustang. A short and scenic flight from Pokhara will take you to Jomsom. Following the walking trail through the Kali Gandaki valley to the north we reach Kagbeni which is a Tibetan influenced village filled with prayer wheels, chortens and a Buddhist monastery. The initial days of the trek through the Annapurna region ascends through rice terraces and villages inhabited by the indigenous people, mostly the Gurungs. Then a steep climp up the Jhong valley crossing meadows, streams and poplar and fruit trees will lead to Muktinath.

The sacred temple has 108 waterfalls that resemble water flowing from taps and mysterious natural gas fires that boggle the mind. After visting Muktinath, the trail descends towards Marpha village with monastery and Apple Brandy factory and then to Kalopani. The grandeur of the Dhaulagiri Glacier is on show a little further up along with the first glimpse of the windy Tibetan Plateau on the way. Then we trek to Tatopani wher we can enjoy hot spring.

Following the route, we will reach Ghorepani , Poonhill where we can enjoy the exotic sunrise and sunset over the majestic mountains. We continue to walk leading to Tadapani, Ghandruk village, Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara. The best seasons for doing this trek are Spring (March to May) and autumn (mid September to mid December).
